The site has six luxuriously furnished safari lodges, each designed with a coast and country theme and sleeping up to six guests. Accommodation includes a king-size bed, two single beds and a double cabin bed, with electric blankets provided for extra comfort.
Each lodge has its own kitchen with a gas hob, fridge and hot running water, making it easy for guests to prepare meals during their stay. Other practical facilities include electric lighting in key areas, USB charging sockets and a socket for medical use. A woodburning stove is also provided, with firewood included for cosy evenings inside the lodge.
Guests have the convenience of their own en suite bathroom with a flushing toilet, shower and hot running water. Travel cots and high chairs are also available, making the lodges well suited to families with younger children.
Outside, every lodge has a decked porch with a picnic table and BBQ/firepit, providing plenty of opportunity for outdoor dining and relaxed evenings. Three of the lodges also have wood-fired hot tubs, which can be pre-booked directly with the owners for an extra addition to a countryside break.
There is plenty to enjoy without leaving the site. Younger visitors can make the most of the play fortress and have the chance to meet and feed the farm animals during a farm tour, while an outdoor gym provides another option for active guests.
Food is well covered too. The honesty shop stocks freshly baked bread and pastries, newly laid eggs from the farm, sausages and bacon from home-reared livestock and a selection of other essentials and treats. Guests can also look forward to twice-weekly pizza nights during their stay.
