Fairfields Farm Caravan and Camping Park, Westham, Pevensey, East Sussex
The park has 60 pitches spread across approximately four acres of grassland, with made-up roadways providing convenient access around the site. The majority of pitches have electric hook-up, allowing guests to enjoy a few extra home comforts during their stay.
Facilities include toilet and shower blocks with individual washing and showering cubicles, alongside a purpose-built accessible facility. Hot water and showers are included in the campsite fees. There is also a covered washing-up area and a laundry room with deep sinks, a washing machine and tumble dryer.
A resident warden is based at the park and access is controlled, with the main gates closing at 10.30pm. Parking is available for guests arriving later.
Fairfields Farm is also a good choice for those who enjoy spending time outdoors. A campsite walk leads away from the pitches through a pleasant meadow-like setting, passing the duck pond, peacock house and chicken enclosure. Guests may also spot goats, pigs and ponies grazing in the neighbouring fields.
The walk continues around the park's fishing lake, where species including roach, rudd, perch, tench and carp can be found. Fishing is free for campsite residents, although anglers will need to hold the appropriate Environment Agency licence.
Dogs are welcome at Fairfields Farm, with a dog exercise field and a separate enclosed area where they can enjoy some off-lead exercise. Due to livestock around the working farm, dogs must otherwise be kept on leads throughout the park.
With its adult-only setting, useful facilities, countryside walks and fishing lake, Fairfields Farm Caravan and Camping Park provides a comfortable base for a quieter break in East Sussex, with Pevensey and the surrounding area ready to explore.
