Harford Bridge Holiday Park, Tavistock, Devon, Dartmoor National Park
Situated on the edge of Harford Bridge Holiday Park, the detached cottage sleeps up to six guests and was refreshed in 2024. Original features including stone fireplaces, wooden beams and sloping ceilings have been retained, while modern facilities provide everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Downstairs, guests can relax in the welcoming lounge, complete with a log burner, TV and DVD player. There is also a snug, providing another cosy space in which to unwind. The fully equipped kitchen is complemented by a separate dining room with seating for six and a second log burner, while a cloakroom completes the ground-floor facilities.
Upstairs are three bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms, including a master with its own en suite shower room, plus a twin bedroom with limited headroom due to the characterful sloping ceiling. A family bathroom is also available. Due to the cottage's steep staircase, Harford House is not suitable for children under three years old.
Outside, guests have their own private landscaped garden and sun terrace, furnished for relaxing outdoors and enjoying the views towards Dartmoor. A gas barbecue is provided for leisurely meals outside, while private parking is available for two cars.
Wi-Fi is included during a stay and an EV charging point can be used for an additional charge. Guests at Harford House can also enjoy facilities at Harford Bridge Holiday Park, including the children's play area.
The location makes it easy to combine days on Dartmoor with trips further afield. Tavistock is only around 2.5 miles away, with good road and public transport connections as well as a cycle way. Plymouth is approximately 14 miles away, while both the North and South Devon coasts can be reached in around an hour.
With Dartmoor close at hand and plenty more of Devon within easy reach, Harford House provides an inviting base for families, friends and groups looking to enjoy a self-catering countryside break in West Devon.
